Performative setting Rats take Marko Čeh back to the text he already
devised. This time around stage design is constructed by renowned
visual artists. It becomes the protagonist of the performance, while the
performers are merely bio-mechanical representations of symbolical
captivity in the world that offers no way out. Grotesque numbness of
the event forces audience into false image of comfort and a silent scream
at the same time. Theatre setting is crossing the boundaries of
performance into the visual art. It leaves no space to evade the basic
question: are we merely capable of imagining, or also living an utopia?
The gesture is clear: in the world, that is not capable to face its destructive
nature, we can only be the unwanted populations.
